And now, a small word from the editor.

I'm jealous of my friend’s blogs. There, I said it. I'm jealous of Micah's diligence in updating. I'm jealous of Aaron and Jen's ability to not update and not feel some nagging sense of guilt. I'm jealous of Suzanne's ability to eloquently pour her heart out and reveal deep truth's about herself. I'm jealous of Meg and Murray's ability to use their blog to achieve something more. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Survey Says: One more for the good guys.

Survey Says: One more for the good guys.

Take that Gropinator! Ha! So he decides to waste 80 million dollars on a “special election” and all four of his propositions lost. I guess that’s what you get for attacking Teachers, Nurses, Policeman, and Firefighters. I mean seriously, who goes after four of the most beloved professions in the country? And especially with a line of crap about how he’s not attacking teachers, he’s just attacking their unions? Luckily most people realized the Unions are there to help these professions and prevented Ahnold form gutting them. I think he should next try to get a proposition going next year that requires corporations to get signatures from their employees and or shareholders before they can contribute to a political cause, but then that would be consistent, and we all know how republicans hate that word.

Now this was a shock. In Texas, a measure that restricted the rights of minorities was passed by an overwhelming margin! What the heck? I mean, yeah they were pro-slavery, pro-segregation, and still have a place called “White community” after the White settlers who kicked out the natives, but I have always thought of Texans in general as an accepting, loving, and live-and-let-live kind of people. Just goes to show ya I guess.

Of course in defense of Texans, namely those I am related to, many of the stereotypes attributed to Texan’s aren’t true. Yes they are rabidly conservative in some areas. And yes, I did have someone almost not rent me a tuxedo once because I was from California but I’m confidant most of them aren’t as crazy as that guy.

One thing that was pretty cool was that Maine special election in that the voters decided to maintain the rights of homosexuals that were already on the books. I suppose you could make some sort of red/blue state comparison here but I think that’s too simplistic myself.

And the Dem’s did win 2 Governorship’s and several mayoral races so yes, it was a good day.

Also, The revenge of Lott. It appears that ol’ Trent is now getting his revenge on the Republican leadership who dumped him by going to the press and saying that it was actually a Republican senator who outed the CIA black camps last week. And the best part was that this was after Bill Frist demanded a probe into the person who leaked the existence of these camps.

Sometimes, it’s just not a good day to be a bad guy
